Recycling, an ethical choice
Lorelux® luminaires are manufactured in full compliance with circular economy at all stages of product’s service life: from the choice of sustainable materials – PSV-certified recovered polyethylene (Second Life Plastic) – to a low environmental impact manufacturing technique, up to the possibility of recycling and reusing the same material to produce a new lighting body. A cycle that can be repeated an infinite number of times.
Lorelux® works in full compliance with circular economy:
- Reduces: by producing from recovered materials, it minimises the use of new resources
- Reuses: a producer’s waste becomes its raw material
- Refurbishes: it extends product’s life through easy replacement and upgrading of the led engine
- Recycles: at the end of its service life, luminaire is completely recycled
- Repurposes: it uses 50% to 98% post-consumer plastic in each luminaire

Repairing to extend product’s service life
The possibility of repairing or upgrading the LED source, even in height, makes it possible to reuse the polyethylene lighting body, thus saving the environment about 15 kg of CO2 for each avoided replacement (source: Life Cycle Assessment study conducted in accordance with the requirements of international ISO 14040 and ISO14044 standards).
