The boulevard leading to the Scaliger Castle, which reached its peak during the XIV century, today is completely illuminated by Lorelux Catullo luminaires.
The choice of the name Catullo is a tribute to the famous Latin poet and to the city of Sirmione, which houses the paternal villa where the poet loved to take refuge and on which today stands the site of the Grotte di Catullo, visited every year by thousands of tourists. Along this road, 48 Catullo luminaires from Lorelux® Classic Collection follow one another. They are arranged on two arms with a power of 40W, 50W and 80W and a colour temperature of 3.000K
This arrangement has two different functions: a row of luminaires illuminates the boulevard while the other row illuminates the pedestrian area.
Lorelux avoided light dispersion and reached high-level performances by diversifying the power of the luminaires and by using customized optics that projected efficient and targeted beams of light directly on the area to be illuminated.
In addition to being resistant to bad weather, corrosion, pollution, and acts of vandalism; to being equipped with both customised design and optics that make it possible to intensify the beauty of the city and to illuminate without light dispersions, Catullo lumininaires clear a path between Sirmione and the Italian Smart Cities.
The remote-control devices inserted inside the lighting bodies have built a bridge between the ancient town known and loved by the poet, and the new cosmopolitan and technological city able both to preserve its value and to encourage ecology and innovation.
