Veselí nad Lužnicí is a small village of 6,500 inhabitants located in the historical region of South Bohemia in the Czech Republic. A picturesque town surrounded by greenery with a need to install luminaires in a shape and colour similar to the existing traditional street luminaires, which are strongly characteristic of the place.
Lorelux provided the city with 51 pcs. of 15-40W Moravia luminaires in white and sky blue colour and customised optics.
The high degree of colour customisation guaranteed by Lorelux made it possible to choose the exact colour match of the new luminaires with the existing ones and to respect the original architectural identity of the place, which wants sky-blue lampposts merging with the green shades of the park where they are installed.
The Moravia luminaires installed in Veselí nad Lužnicí have no diffuser and are equipped with a B.L.S. (Black Light Stop) optical accessory, which allows both the light directed towards houses to be shielded and the direction of the light beams to be optimised, thus further reducing light pollution in built-up areas.
The project was carried out with the participation of the city and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, as part of a national programme called the National Recovery Plan (NPO), which provides a subsidy commensurate with the amount of energy savings achieved. The city is so pleased with the Lorelux approach and products – which have ensured a tailor-made product with high-energy performances – that the second phase of the project is currently being prepared, which will ensure the replacement of the remaining discharge lamps in the city and the modernisation of the entire city lighting system.
