The collection consists of seven range of colours: black, bronze, anthracite, metallic grey, corten, forest green and titanium. Surface finish is matt or semi-matt. Luminaire’s bodies are proposed in both solid colours and with multicoloured variegations, and they match the colour of the pole. Colours and finishes were carefully selected in order for the products to silently integrate with the landscapes and to respect both historical and chromatic identities of the places where they are going to be installed. Bronze harmonises with brick façades and porphyry paving; black and anthracite recall the first cast iron luminaires of historical town centres. Metallic grey catches the neutral and matt medium colours of the exposed concrete while titanium interacts with the white limestone of the façades. Finally, the green colour, chosen in its neutral and dark shades to blend in with the vegetation of parks and tree-lined avenues.
Thanks to a careful study carried out by Francesca Valan, an industrial designer specialising in the design of colours, materials and finishes, colours have been chosen that silently fit into the landscape, to respect the historical and chromatic identity of different contexts.
“The finishes harmonize with the iconic colours of architecture: the historic porphyry floors, the limestone of the facades, but also exposed concrete, asphalt and the greenery of parks and avenues. For the recycled plastics, which are the new material icons, I was inspired by the textured and uneven surfaces of the planets.”
