Lorelux® operates precisely in this mechanism and replaces the metallic material with a polyethylene-based polymer. In this way, if you eliminate one of the components necessary for this reaction, the corrosion phenomenon cannot occur.

Invisible devices for smart city
Unlike the metals, the polymer body does not shield radio waves. Therefore, the antennas for the transmission and reception of the signals can be inserted within the lighting body without affecting its customised design. This is a key aspect for the aesthetics of the urban luminaires.

Lorelux® luminaires respect the circular economy model. Not only are they 100% recyclable but they are also manufactured by using post-consumer polyethylene.
The manufacturing of “secondary raw materials” – called in this way because they keep the same mechanical properties as the virgin materials – is totally sustainable because of their being emission-free. In fact, they are obtained by a simple mechanical shredding of the material with no need for thermal treatments at high temperatures, which may lead to environmental problems caused by the pollutants emitted in the air.
