It collects years of specific studies on the phenomenon of corrosion – with particular reference to public lighting fixtures that are intended to be installed in coastal and/or heavily polluted areas – and analyzes the use of those specific polymeric materials for the manufacturing of urban lighting fixtures that led to the birth of Lorelux luminaires.
By choosing to replace the metal of the traditional fixtures with polyethylene-based polymers, it is possible to prevent the phenomenon of corrosion from occurring. An efficient intuition based on a simple logic, which is explained in detail in this book, which this month celebrates one year since its first publishing.
